Unexplained Infertility

Twenty percent of the time infertility is unexplained or undiagnosed.  There are circumstances where an identifiable cause is not detected with standard testing. Depending upon the circumstance, treatments with ovulation induction and intrauterine inseminations may be performed, bypassing potential cervical factors, or pelvic surgery such as a diagnostic laparoscopy may be performed looking for scar tissue or endometriosis presenting in an atypical fashion.
